 Fit Kid Tiny Tigers
(Age 4-6)

The Fit Kid Tiny Tigers program at AKA is for kids ages 4-6. This structured program helps building CONFIDENCE,  SELF-ESTEEM, DISCIPLINE, CONTROL, RESPECTCOURTESY and CONCENTRATION to the kids. We at AKA promote YES I CAN attitude to the students.

AKA’s Fit Kid Tiny Tigers program helps kids get healthier with a combination of martial arts, fitness and personal development training. Training at AKA provide many benefits to youngsters beyond that offered by any other sports. The structured drills help the youngsters OVERCOME SHYNESS and TIMIDITY. The children become more CONFIDENT and ASSERTIVE as they learn to move and control their bodies. At AKA they learn to work and compete with others in a friendly and safe environment. SELF-CONFIDENCE and SELF-ESTEEM grow. Many parents reported a marked increase in the child’s social interactions. The youngster feels less threatened by other children or new situations.

Karate training at AKA also helps youngsters develop a sense of integrity about their bodies. Balance, coordination, posture, and general movements improve with training. Our training also offers an additional bonus that other sports do not provide. It teaches SELF-DEFENSE. In the unsettling times in which we live, knowledge of how to protect oneself can be crucial. Parents feel more secure knowing their sons or daughters are capable of defending themselves.  Also children with learning difficulty, such as ADHD, hyperactivity or behavior problems, can benefit from the structured learning program that AKA offers.

 Advanced/Black Belt Program 

This class is dedicated to advanced Color Belts and Black Belts.  Center of attention at the Black Belt Class is on perfecting basic knowledge and understanding of forms, basics, and sparring. Focus for this class is on dynamic breathing, inner calm, and internal/external body energy.
 
These classes are designed to prepare students to become Certified Instructors. These classes cover the many advanced training areas of the martial arts including specialty technique and weapons training.

     Women's Self Defense Program 

This women’s Self-Defense program at Austin Karate Academy is designed for women to increase their awareness of self defense and rape prevention. No prior Martial Arts experience is necessary.  This program is hosted mostly once a month and minimum of 5 participants are required.  Please contact us for more details.
