"We discovered AKA just as they were opening their new studio. We weren’t sure if TSD would be right for our 9 year old daughter (being a dancer and lover of all things pink), but thought we’d give it a try to help her work on focus and self-control. What a surprise we were in for. Ciara has flourished at AKA. From bringing home gold medals, to feeling a part of something bigger, she has shared with us her love of TSD. Mr. Mukherjee has created a place where kids can strive for personal betterment, as well as truly feel part of a family environment with the others at AKA. Ciara is excited each day about going to class and doing well for her instructors. Thank you for providing such a quality studio, a place for our children to learn, grow and have fun!"

AKA is a fantastic place where our son not only exercises but get together with close friends that treat each other as family. It is difficult to express our gratitude to Mr. Mukherhee and the AKA family for how much they helped our son in our transition to Austin. He soon stopped feeling alien in this city and renewed his interest and excitement for karate. You did a great deal for Eugene’s self-esteem and we feel lucky for having found such a great group of people.

Sure, as parents we have the responsibility, but often children will discount what you say as a parent simply because you are their parent. If they (the children) can find someone outside the family to admire that shares similar values of their parents it is a win for the parents. You and your staff have done this for our children Jessica, Zachary, and Andrew and we can not wait until Bailey can join.
"Mr. Mukherjee is the one person who made this studio happen. Maria and I both admire his energy, effort, and dedication to Tang Soo Do and Austin Karate Academy. It is by his example that others get inspired to help out with the studio and are motivated to go to class. I thank Mr. Mukherjee for the great opportunity to spend quality time with our entire family in his class."

"While AKA offers a traditional martial arts program filled with instilling confidence, respect, and discipline in kids, it's also a lot of fun. We really appreciate the family atmosphere and Mr. Mukherjee’s considerable knowledge and experience in developing his students as individuals. Our son's listening and organizational skills have greatly improved while enrolled at AKA. So good, in fact, that their Mom has enrolled me, Dad, in the class too!"

"I cannot tell you how much Austin Karate Academy has meant to my family. Our son, Holden, has only been in karate classes there since April 2007 and we have noticed so many changes already. We love sitting down to a meal as a family because our son is very excited to eat his fruits and veggies. He tells us that they will make him grow big and strong. He cannot wait to tell Mr. Dave what he ate. He also self monitors his sugar intake (most of the time) because "sugar makes you weak". Holden's attention span has increased dramatically. He is better able to concentrate on everything from puzzles and games to schoolwork."

"My son Alexey has been attending Austin Karate Academy for less than a year, but I am so pleased with the instruction and individualized attention he receives there, I hope to continue his enrollment throughout his life. He has learned so much about discipline and respect, and he thinks so highly of each and every one of his instructors. Everyone at the academy has been so welcoming to our entire family; they are especially wonderful with the little ones, and it is a joy to watch these kids develop through the academy. The family atmosphere combined with the structure of the classes puts a smile on the face of every person I have met there, and I am so grateful to have found this particular "family for my son - thank you AKA, from the bottom of my heart."
